Here's a glimpse of weather conditions prevailing in the hilly regions of Leh Ladakh -
1. April to Mid-May
Ladakh's tourism begins in April. In
the first few days itself, you will see that Ladakh starts getting live and
energetic. This is the period when guest houses and hotels prepare themselves
to greet Ladakh's guests. Apart from those luxurious stays, this is the season
when you can witness the camping activities at Pangong Tso, Tso Moriri Lake,
and other such tourist spots. It is during May's second week when the
Srinagar-Leh high opens its door to welcome the tourists from all over.
2. Mid May to July
As the Srinagar- Leh highway now opens
up for the tourists, this period may not be preferred as Ladakh tour best time.
With the beginning of June, Manali road
along with Rohtang Pass opens up. Yet, the initial 7 days are not so good to
schedule your Leh Ladakh visit. This is due to the recurring road blockages. On
the other hand, the pre-monsoon period is ideal for Ladakh visit as the weather
remains fresh and preferable for the travelling experience.
3. August to
Mid-September
This is the time when Leh-Ladakh
receives heavy showers. The rivers flow in their full swing. Owing to the peak
monsoon period, Leh-Ladakh travelling turns out to be highly risky and
challenging. Landslides are frequently observed monsoon consequences.
4. Mid-September to
Mid-October
This period is mostly accounted as
Ladakh Tour Best Time. The picturesque destinations of Leh and Ladakh are now
ready to force everyone to fall for their beauty. The whole region remains
imbued with vibrant colors. Although the weather may remain dry, you can expect
a small amount of snowfall here. Water bodies turning aqua blue is a
photographer's real delight.

5. Mid-October to
Mid-November
Mid October to Mid-November is the
period when almost entire Leh-Ladakh region remains covered with a misty white
blanket of snow. Temperatures may fall below the sub-zero level. The Srinagar-
Leh highways may remain open throughout this period. Yet, it is advisable to
avoid this period for travelling here due to a freezing temperature. But you sure can consider the Bali tour packages for this weather.
6. Mid-November to
March
This period accounts as the coldest of all seasons here. Mid-November to
March is the period when the region remains isolated from the rest of the
world. Though Pangong Tso and Nubra Valley remain open, this season is
definitely not to be tagged as Ladakh Tour best time. Yet, there are adventure
freaks who are curious to participate in the famous Chadar Trek. They do make
their sincere efforts to reach the frozen Zanskar valley.
